Update: Ben's Bill of Health
Good News!! After a closer, more intense look at Ben's CT scan, we found out that the internal bleeding wasn't coming from an organ such as the liver or spleen as originally thought, but from Ben's left abdominal wall. Why this is good news? It's considered a muscle bleed instead of an organ or soft tissue bleed and is much less severe and will only require about 3 days of treatment as opposed to 10 days! YEAH! Tomorrow will be considered day 3, so if all goes well and his blood count levels are back up to normal, we should be able to take our little man home. Unfortunatley, Ben did lose close to 20% of his blood, but he's bounced back like a champ and is doing so much better today. We've got a great nurse who got us a room at the Ronald McDonald house so we both enjoyed a hot shower and have our own room with a bed, although I think we'd prefer to be right next to Ben. we are so thankful for God's healing hand in this situation and for the doctor's wisdom. thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and concerns....

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to you from thousands of miles away here in Anchorage, Alaska. Praying for little Ben's full recovery! My heart goes out to your whole family as you wait on the reports and results from each test. I can't imagine how it must feel to see your adorable little one endure this. I pray peace and comfort over you all wherever you may be right now. God Bless, Amanda Pokrandt (Krystal Roger's sister in Alaska)
